A magnitude-6.8 earthquake jolted Luding County, southwest China's Sichuan Province, at 12:52 p.m. on Monday.

Here is what we know so far: 

- A total of 88 people were killed and 30 remain missing, as of midday on Friday.

- Minor aftershocks are still rattling the areas after the first strong shake hit on Monday. 

- Search and relief efforts face difficulties primarily because of road blockages and rain.
