Andy Boreham, a New Zealand columnist who lives in China, says that Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region left him the deepest impression among all the places that he visited in the country with its jaw-dropping landscapes and delicious foods. "Next time I want to ride the new train that loops the Taklamakan Desert," he said, adding he would definitely revisit Xinjiang on his next annual leave.
