A magnitude-6.8 earthquake at a depth of 16 kilometers jolted Luding County in southwest China's Sichuan Province on September 5. Immediately after the earthquake hit, 27 members of Sichuan Forest Fire Brigade, 100 members of the Special Service Brigade, and 110 members of the Yajiang Brigade and Kangding Squadron rushed to the rescue. Two other teams are on standby.
