The new school year in Ukraine starts on September 1. In Kharkiv, Ukraine's second-largest city, all schools would start the new school year online due to constant shelling. According to local authorities, 75 percent fewer students have enrolled compared to last year. Since the Russia-Ukraine conflict, Kharkiv has been suffering from bombing and shelling, with buildings being heavily damaged. Ukrainian authorities said over a hundred educational institutions had been damaged.
