U.S. undermining international order with 'Long-arm Jurisdiction'
30:00

The U.S. has been unilaterally advocating what it terms as the 'rules-based international order'. But what exactly does that mean? The country also constantly puts its domestic law above international laws by using 'long-arm jurisdiction' to crack down competition to maintain its edge in certain industries. Why is there the rampant abusing of 'long-arm jurisdiction' by the U.S.? Is it fair to say that what Washington calls 'rules-based international order' is actually the rules perpetuated by the U.S. for its hegemonic goals? CGTN Anchor Guan Xin invites Prof. Alessandro Teixeira from Tsinghua University, also Former Minister of Tourism and Executive Minister of Development Industry and Foreign Trade of Brazil; and Prof. Kong Qingjiang, Dean of the School of International Law at China University of Political Science and Law, to join the discussion.
