Stringer Dispatch: Rescue efforts underway after M6.8 quake jolts Sichuan Province

A magnitude-6.8 earthquake has hit southwest China's Sichuan Province, and more than 200 people are still trapped at the Hailuogou Scenic Spot, a glacier and forest nature reserve.

Buildings have toppled and rescue teams have to enter the disaster-struck area on foot because transportation routes was severed. CGTN stringer Zhang Xi  witnessed the aftermath and the ongoing rescue efforts at the scenic spot.
