U.S. releases plan for $50 billion investment in chips: NYT

The U.S. Department of Commerce on Tuesday unveiled its plan for dispensing $50 billion into research and manufacturing of semiconductor chips, the New York Times has reported.

U.S. President Joe Biden signed the CHIPS and Science Act of 2022 into law in August in a bid to boost domestic production of semiconductors.
