The Turgusun hydropower station in East Kazakhstan has been running smoothly for one year. The plant, within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative, was the first cooperation project between China and Kazakhstan in the hydropower field. The two sides signed the cooperation agreement in 2014 and completed the construction in 2021.
