The United Nations warns the humanitarian situation in Pakistan could get worse, as floods brought by monsoon rains continue to impact over 33 million people. Since mid-June, the floods have caused at least 1,300 deaths and 12,000 injuries, washing away homes, businesses, roads and bridges. The WHO said nearly 1,500 health centers have been damaged, and stocks of emergency medicines, supplies and surgical items were limited.
