The dome lifting of the world's three largest liquefied natural gas (LNG) storage tanks was completed simultaneously on Wednesday in Yancheng City, east China's Jiangsu Province. With a capacity of 270,000 cubic meters each, the three storage tanks are part of the China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) Yancheng "Green Energy Port" project, which involves the construction of 10 large-scale LNG storage tanks: four completed tanks with a capacity of 220,000 cubic meters and six to-be-completed tanks of 270,000 cubic meters. The annual LNG processing capacity of the project will reach 6 million tonnes, equivalent to 8.5 billion cubic meters of natural gas, once put into full operation at the end of 2023.
