The death toll from monsoon flooding in Pakistan since June has reached 1,343, released by the country's National Disaster Management Authority on Wednesday. Rescue operations have become difficult as numerous bridges and roads have been washed away. Food is in short supply after water submerged millions of acres of farmlands and wiped out hundreds of thousands of livestock. China's aid for flood victims reached the country's southern port city of Karachi last Tuesday.
