More than 3,000 wild Chinese Yews have been found in deep mountainous areas in Jiangxi Province. The largest is over 1,200 years old. The Chinese Yew, or Taxus chinensis, has been placed on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species and is under first-class protection in China.
