European Union countries failed to agree on proposals for a price cap on Russian gas during emergency talks. The Kremlin is threatening to turn off the taps into Europe if the price cap comes into force. Consumers and businesses across the bloc are facing skyrocketing energy costs amid the Russia-Ukraine conflict and governments are scrambling to come up with solutions.
