A magnitude-6.1 earthquake hit Indonesia's Papua region on Saturday morning followed by a magnitude-6.2 quake about half hour later, according to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC).
The first quake hit at a depth of 15 kilometers, while the second was at a depth of 40 kilometers, the EMSC said.
No casualties or damages were immediately reported by authorities but in a tweet the Indonesian Meteorology and Geophysics Agency warned of moderate shaking and light damage.
