September 10 marks Teachers' Day in China, a day to pay tribute to educators and mentors nationwide.
Chinese President Xi Jinping has always put education at the forefront of his priorities.
Through speeches and actions, Xi has repeatedly called for teachers to be valued and priority given to education. He has paid special attention to the development of education in poorer areas, and conducted multiple inspections and extensive field research.
From 2016 to 2021, China had dispatched 1.03 million teachers to assist education in the central and western regions. And by 2022, over 44.3 million students were studying at higher education institutions across the country.
Indeed, improved education has given the Chinese nation a strong foundation to grow and people the skills to flourish.
