China kicks off construction of 3GW Tengger Desert photovoltaic base

Construction of the Tengger Desert 3GW New Energy Photovoltaic Complex Project began on September 9 in the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region.

When completed, China's largest photovoltaic base will generate approximately 5.78 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity per year, saving 1.92 million tonnes of standard coal and reducing annual carbon dioxide emissions by about 4.66 million tonnes.
