President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Ukrainian troops have recaptured the eastern city of Izium as part of a large-scale counteroffensive. They have also advanced north from Kharkiv to within 50 kilometers of the border with Russia and are pressing to the south and east in the same region. Meanwhile, the Russian Defense Ministry says Russian forces continue to strike Ukrainian troops in Kharkiv, Kherson and Donetsk.
