The first batch of two big parts for the Airbus 321 aircraft has arrived in the Chinese port city of Tianjin and been unloaded.
The parts are expected to be transferred to the final assembly line on September 13. They are the first Airbus 321 parts to be delivered to Tianjin since the assembly line for the Airbus 320 family was built 15 years ago, according to China Media Group (CMG).
It means Asia's only assembly line for the Airbus aircraft will officially be producing Airbus 321 aircraft.
Airbus has four assembly lines for the Airbus 320 aircraft family around the world, all of which are capable of delivering the Airbus 321.
