Community workers rescue injured black stork in NW China's Xinjiang

Community workers in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region recently found a wild crane-like bird with an injured leg. The bird was identified as black stork, a first-class national protected animal with all dark feathers. The stork was handed over to the Wildlife Management Office for further treatment and will be released after recovery.
