The onrushing Qiantang tidal bore in east China's Zhejiang Province rose to its highest point and hit Laoyancang dam, sending roaring sounds up to the air and forming a spectacular scene by creating a huge backflow bore. The tidal bore moves very fast in the river, reaching speeds of up to 13 meters per second.
