Heavy monsoon rainfall and floods have affected some 2.3 million people in Pakistan since mid-June. Sindh and Balochistan are the two most affected provinces in terms of human and infrastructural impact. Victims in Sohbatpur District are still waiting for help, with roads and access points completely flooded. Food and other supplies are dwindling. There is a dire need for adequate water and sanitation in order to prevent the widespread outbreak of disease.
