French women's top-flight football club Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) on Tuesday announced the arrival of Chinese international midfielder Yang Lina on a season-long loan.

"Paris Saint-Germain are delighted to announce the arrival of Yang Lina. The China international joins on loan from Shanghai Shengli until June 2023," the club wrote on its website.

"The club wishes Lina a warm welcome and a great season with the Rouge-et-Bleu," the club added.

Yang, 28, became the second Chinese female footballer to have been signed by PSG this season, after her national teammate Li Mengwen joined earlier this month and made her debut in the opening match of the women's Ligue 1 last weekend.

PSG have ranked second behind Lyon in the French women's first division four times in the past five seasons, except in the 2020-2021 season when they overthrew Lyon for their first league title.

A review of Yang Lina's career:

Honor with Shanghai Shengli

Born in Shanghai, Yang started her career in 2015 with hometown side Shanghai Shengli, where she finished as the top scorer in the Chinese Football Association (FA) Cup in her first season.

Four years later, Yang, along with her teammates, lifted the Shanghai team to win the league title.

Victory with Team China

Yang made her debut for the Chinese women's national team during the Asian Games in 2018.

She scored her first goal for Team China in a 2-1 friendly match win against Finland on October 6, 2018, during the 2018 Yongchuan International Tournament held in southwest China's Chongqing Municipality.

She was named to the Team China squad for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

With 24 caps for the national team, Yang helped the Steel Roses claim their ninth Women's Asian Cup title this year as the tournament was held from January 20 to February 6 in India.
