One Tajik border guard was killed, and two others were injured after clashes broke out with Kyrgyz border guards overnight, Russia's RIA news agency reported Wednesday, citing Tajik border troops.

Russian media earlier in the day reported an exchange of fire between troops of the two countries at the border.
