UN urges Armenia, Azerbaijan to 'deescalate tensions'

Armenia and Azerbaijan reported on September 13 nearly 100 troop deaths in their worst fighting since the 2020 war over the disputed Nagorno-Karabakh region. The office of the UN Secretary-General is calling for "immediate steps to deescalate tensions" along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border.
