Armenia announced an agreement on a ceasefire on its border with Azerbaijan on Thursday, RIA news agency reported.

"With the involvement of the international community, it was possible to reach an agreement on a ceasefire," Armen Grigoryan, Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia, said.

International peace efforts intensified on Wednesday a day after the deadliest violence since 2020 erupted between the two countries, killing hundreds.
