Sanya City in south China's Hainan Province will gradually resume normal order of life and production from Thursday noon as authorities lift "static management" requirements imposed due to COVID-19.

Businesses including supermarkets, malls and barber shops will reopen, while restaurants will be allowed to offer take-outs, according to local officials.

Buses, taxis and ride-hailing services will also resume operation, officials said.
