The Chinese Air Force sent two J-20 fighters on September 16 to escort the remains of Chinese volunteer soldiers killed in the Korean War, in order to pay the highest tribute to the martyrs. The remains were carried by the Y-20 transport aircraft from South Korea to northeastern China. From 2014 to 2021, South Korea returned the remains of 825 Chinese People's Volunteers martyrs killed in the Korean War.
