19th China-ASEAN Expo inks record-high deals

The 19th China-ASEAN Expo, which was opened on Friday, has witnessed a new record of deals signed on the event, China Media Group reported on Saturday.

A total of 267 projects on investment and cooperation have been inked, with a value of 413 billion yuan ($591.37 billion), the report said.

Most of the deals are in the areas of high-end metal new materials, modern agriculture, environmental protection, light industry and textile, healthcare, cultural tourism, sports, machinery and equipment manufacturing, according to the report.

The 19th China-ASEAN Expo is being held in Nanning, south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and will last until Monday.

This year marks the first year since China and ASEAN upgraded their relations to a comprehensive strategic partnership. It is also the first year since the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) took effect on January 1 this year.
