The death toll from a landslide triggered by heavy rain in western Nepal has risen to 22 and two people are still missing, local media reported on Sunday.

Rescuers pulled the dead and injured from the mud-covered wreckage of five houses in Achham district, about 450 kilometers west of the capital city of Kathmandu.

Neither road access nor power supply in the affected areas have been fully restored, making rescue work difficult.
