On September 11, nature photographers captured photos of 22 blossom-headed parakeets, which is a rare species in the world. Among the photos, there is one showing 22 blossom-headed parakeets flying in a flock surprised both the photographers, bird lovers and scientists, as the species' population has been reset by the numbers shown in the photograph.
The blossom-headed parakeet is under second-class state protection in China. It inhabits valleys and forests, and feeds on wild fruits and grains. In China, it can be found in the provincial regions of Yunnan, Guangdong and Guangxi. The feathers on the head of the male are pink, while the females' are grayish blue.
