Due to a sharp fall in temperature, Chuo'er Forest Area, located in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, embraced the unexpected first snow on September 18.

Chuo'er Forest Area in the southern part of the Greater Hinggan Mountains is famous for its wildlife resources. Daheishan Mountain in the forest is now covered with snow. The mountain is the highest one in the area.

Moreover, September is the critical period for autumn forest fire prevention. The snow has eased the pressure for the forest fire.
