Jin'an Jinsha River Bridge
01:02

The Jin'an Jinsha River Bridge is the mountain suspension bridge with the longest span in the world. Its total length is 1,681 meters. And the main span stretches 1,386 meters. It sits in a valley in southwest China's Lijiang City over the Jinsha River — the upstream of China's longest river — Yangtze River. The mountainous terrain has made it a challenge for local villagers to travel outside the region. People used to drive on hilly roads that were subject to sudden rain storms or heavy winds. Improved connectivity has been helping villages grow their economy.
