The aircraft carrier Liaoning was commissioned by the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Navy in September 2012. Over the past 10 years, the Liaoning aircraft carrier has continuously improved combat effectiveness and deepened the coordination of ships, submarines and aircraft during combat training exercises. During a recent training session in the western Pacific Ocean, the Liaoning detected a group of unidentified targets flying towards it at a high rate of speed. The formation responded and came up with combat plans in a few minutes.
