Lingdingyang Bridge is one of the key projects of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan highway link. All the strands of two main cables on the bridge were successfully set up. Each main cable consists of 199 strands, each made from 2060MPa grade high-strength cable steel wires. The total length of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan highway link is 24 kilometers, including an underwater tunnel and two artificial islands. The link will open to traffic in 2024, cutting commuting between the two cities from two hours to 30 minutes.
