On the morning of September 23, Typhoon Talas, the 15th typhoon of 2022, formed in the northwest Pacific, south of Japan. At 2:00 p.m., Typhoon Noru, the 16th typhoon of 2022, formed to the east of the Philippines.
The two typhoons are churning simultaneously. Talas is expected to affect Japan. Noru may bring strong winds and heavy rains to China’s Hainan Island on September 26 and 27.
