Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry on the sidelines of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly in New York on September 24.

The two countries fought hand in hand against the COVID-19 pandemic and promoted one another's development through cooperation, pushing the China-Egypt comprehensive strategic partnership to strong development momentum, Wang said.
