Ukrainian forces have fired at a school where a polling station for a referendum on joining Russia was located in the city of Rubizhne in Luhansk region, RIA reported on Monday, citing the election commission of the "Luhansk People's Republic" (LPR).

Documentation and ballot papers at the polling station were saved, and all precinct commissions for voting at the referendum have been moved to reserve polling stations, it added.

There has been no response from Ukraine.
