Chinese National Meteorological Center issued a yellow alert for Typhoon Noru at 10 a.m. on September 26.
Noru, the 16th typhoon of 2022, diminished to a typhoon this morning from a strong typhoon, and was located central-east of the South China Sea, 95 kilometers east by north China's Huangyan Island at 9 a.m. Noru is expected to gradually strengthen as it moves west at 20-25 km/h and approaches the eastern coast of Vietnam. Noru will make landfall on the eastern coast of Vietnam in the daytime of September 28, then rapidly weaken over land.
