Typhoon Noru restrengthened to a super typhoon at 2 a.m. on Tuesday and was located 180 kilometers west of south China's Yongxing Island in the South China Sea at 10 a.m.
The provincial meteorological center in south China's Hainan Province has extended the yellow alert for Noru, which has brought torrential rains and strong winds to the country's coastal areas. The train and harbor services are to be partially suspended in the province. The center has also advised vessels to return to ports, while urging the local government to prepare for emergencies.

Noru is expected to continuously strengthen as it heads west at a speed of 20 kilometers per hour before it makes landfall in central Vietnam on Wednesday morning.
Noru intensified to a super typhoon on September 25, and then diminished to a typhoon after making landfall in the Philippines on Monday.
