At least nine people were killed, 32 others injured in Iranian strikes against the military bases of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) in the Kurdish region of northern Iraq on Wednesday, Iraqi News Agency reported, citing the Ministry of Health in the Kurdistan Region.

"The forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran attacked the bases and headquarters of the KDP with missiles and drones," the KDP announced in a statement.

Iran's Revolutionary Guards launched missile and drone attacks on "terrorists" in the Kurdish region, the Iranian state news agency IRNA earlier reported.
