Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Japanese Foreign Minister Yoshimasa Hayashi exchanged congratulatory messages on the 50th anniversary of the normalization of China-Japan diplomatic relations. 

Both sides acknowledged that the relations between the two countries have developed and bilateral cooperation has deepened since the normalization of China-Japan diplomatic relations. 

In his message, Wang said he is ready to work with Hayashi to expand exchange and cooperation between China and Japan in various fields and promote the construction of China-Japan relations that fit the new era. 

For his part, Hayashi said he is ready to cooperate with Wang to build constructive and stable Japan-China relations.
