U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris met with South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol in Seoul on Thursday and reaffirmed the U.S.'s extended deterrence commitment to South Korea, the White House said in a statement.
Harris and Yoon also discussed "the growing strategic economic and technology partnership" between the two countries, the White House said.
The South Korean presidential office said the two met for 85 minutes and discussed a wide range of issues, including "ways to strengthen the bilateral relationship, and key regional and international issues," Yonhap news agency reported.
