China beat the Czech Republic 3-0 (25-19, 25-22, 27-25) to secure their fourth straight win at the FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship in Arnhem, the Netherlands, on Friday.

China booked a spot in the next phase after Friday's victory and three of their opponents there have been confirmed: Italy, Belgium and the Netherlands.

The Czech Republic, which lost all their previous three matches, didn't pose too much challenge for China in the first set. China managed to have different players continue to score thanks to their solid passes. The team kept a lead of at least three or four points during most of the time and extended to six (20-14) when the Czech Republic's coach called her second timeout.

Though the Czech Republic pulled their deficit to five points (24-19) at the end of this set, Yuan Xinyue put an end to their resistance with a block and placed China onto the leading position 1-0.

The second set was much closer as the Czech Republic were the leading side from the beginning. Gong Xiangyu's serves and Li Yingying's spikes kept the score close until it reached the 22-22 draw. Li and Yuan scored the following three points of China, helping the team take this set.

China started the third set with a 5-2 lead but the Czech Republic soon tied the score 6-6. After that, Li committed several spiking errors, handing the lead over to the opponents. China's head coach Cai Bin called a timeout immediately and adjusted the team's offensive plan. After Wang Yunlu served to score, China tied it 16-16.

The two sides kept exchanging points from then until this set reached the 25-25 draw. Wang and Li stood out again with two forceful hits that sealed the deal for China.
