The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has requested clarification about the detain report of Ihor Murashov, head of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant (NPP).
"We have contacted Russian authorities and are requesting clarifications," a spokesperson for the IAEA, the U.N. nuclear watchdog, said in response to a query on Saturday.
Earlier on the day, Ukrainian nuclear agency Energoatom said the General of the Zaporizhzhya NPP was detained by the Russian patrol on his way from the plant to the town of Energodar.
Russia has not commented on the report yet.
