At least 20 people were killed after shelling struck an evacuation convoy with civilians in Kupiansky district in Kharkiv, said governor of the eastern Kharkiv region, Oleh Syniehubov on Saturday.
In a telegram post, he said the convoy of cars was found under fire and an investigation is being conducted.
The Ukrainian official has accused the Russian forces of attacking civilians who tried to escape from the shelling, an accusation Russia has repeatedly denied.
