China's homegrown C919 was granted a certificate of airworthiness on September 29, marking a milestone advance on its journey to commercial operation. The plane has adopted ingenious interior design with well-orchestrated amenities.
Measuring nearly 39 meters in length and 36 meters in wingspan, the C919 is slightly larger than its peers. It offers 158 to 174 seats, with 18.5-inch-wide middle seats. The cabin noise level is never more than 75 decibels. The air inside the cabin is replaced every two to three minutes. The first aircraft will be delivered for commercial use by the end of this year.
