Hurricane Orlene strengthened to a Category 2 hurricane on Saturday, according to the Servicio Meteorologico Nacional (SMN) – Mexico's national weather organization. It was centered about 300 kilometers (186 miles) southwest of Jalisco state on Mexico's Pacific coast with maximum sustained winds of 160 kph (99 mph) and moving north at 10 kph (6 mph).
Orlene might bring heavy rains and high winds to Jalisco state, Colima state, Sinaloa state and other areas.
