Dixan, a dancer from Cuba, has lived in Dalian for five years. He moves like the springy dance steps, while he calms like the tidewater slowly flushing the seashore. As a dancer, he has devoted himself to the stage by rehearsing and putting on shows with the dance team of Dalian's Discovery Land – a must-visit amusement park in the city.

Off the stage, he enjoys strolling by the seashore and indulging himself in the beautiful scenery of Dalian. He has also developed an interest in photography. Over the past five years, he has forged deep connections with friends through dancing and has also witnessed the ever-changing progress of China. He is so in love with both the historic and modern parts of the city, as well as the convenient transportation and delicious food. During this year's National Day holiday, CGTN followed Dixan and found out how he's been leading a busy, slow life there.
