China by Numbers: Government looking to optimize country's economic structure

China's economy can be broadly divided into three sectors. The first involves industries such as agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fisheries. The second is manufacturing, whilst the third is services, covering medical providers, educators, financial services, even hair stylists. The central government says all three are vitally important to the national economy, and it's working to ensure they complement each other.
