Nearly 10,000 people have been evacuated as heavy rain batters southwest China's Sichuan Province. From the evening of October 2 to 4, torrential rain slammed Bazhong City. Affected by the rainfall, the water level of major rivers in the city rose sharply, landslides occurred, and many roads were blocked. The maximum rainfall in Bazhong had reached 197.4 millimeters. Sichuan has issued geological disaster warnings for areas in Dazhou and Bazhong cities from October 5 to 6.
